WHAT IS SEEC AND WHAT DO WE DO?

Our bilingual staff and volunteers match day-laborers with employers who have need of temporary labor - by the hour or by the day.  Job applicants, who have the skills and background required, are referred to employers who then negotiate the working conditions and wages directly with the workers they hire.  Workers are expected to do a good day's work; employers are expected to be fair.

The jobs are varied:  from construction work to yard work, domestic service to handy-man jobs.  If there is a need for work, we can find a worker!  The long-term goal is to improve the skills of these workers so they can qualify for more permanent employment.

All information provided by employers and workers to the SEEC staff is strictly confidential

SEEC's services are free for both employees and employers.

WHO DO WE HELP AND HOW DO WE DO IT?
